Skoda has released a single teaser image of its Citigo Rally concept that will form the centrepiece of the Czech manufacturer's display at this week's Wörthersee event. The city car on steroids makes the SEAT Mii FR concept, which will also take its bow at Wörthersee, look tame in comparison.
Exterior
Who would have thought that Volkswagen Group's baby could look so butch? The pumped up Skoda Citigo has an aggressive front bumper, extended side skirts, ventilated bonnet and a prominent rear spoiler. There is also a roof scoop to keep the car's occupants cool, 18-inch alloys wrapped in low profile tyres and a centrally mounted exhaust system.
Interior
With just the single image released interior details are all speculation, but we would imagine a purposeful, stripped out and caged interior with a pair of racing bucket seats, a steering wheel and little else besides.
Mechanicals
You have to hope that, with those looks, the Citigo Rally will pack more than the 74hp 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine that powers the standard car. While Skoda has not released any information the 180hp 1.4-litre TSI engine would give the car oomph to suit the looks - may require a shoehorn to make it fit mind.
Data
Besides the rally car, Skoda will also unveil the Citigo DJ. Even less is known about this model than the rally car, but Skoda says it will magically open up to reveal a stage and a mixing station. It will be used by an 'international top DJ' to play music during the event.
