Volkswagen Ireland has reintroduced the Golf Van to the Irish market. The car-derived van is expected to be popular with small business users and boasts a 1,300-litre load capacity.
Based on the popular Golf Mark VI three-door model the Golf Van is powered by a 90hp version of Volkswagen's 1.6-litre TDI engine that is capable of returning 4.5 litres/100km (62.7mpg) on the combined cycle. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, a leather-covered steering wheel and an auxiliary input for MP3 players.
"It is great to be able to offer the Golf Van in the Irish market once again," said John Donegan, Sales and Marketing Manager for Volkswagen Ireland. "We know that there is a strong demand for this vehicle from small business users as it offers the best of both worlds, namely the comfort and quality of a Golf, with the load carrying capacity of a light commercial vehicle."
The Golf Van is available to order from Volkswagen passenger car retailers priced from €16,290 excluding VAT.
