Volkswagen's latest deals are being pitched as an antidote to the poor summer weather. Every customer is promised a €500 cheque, which should bring a little metaphorical sunshine even if the real thing is hard to come by.
In addition to the cash-back there is free car insurance and twelve months' car tax.
To spread the cost of the car Volkswagen Bank offers what are claimed to be some of the cheapest ways to finance a new purchase. The Polo is available from €149 per month. Golf and Jetta finance starts at €199 per month with the Passat costing €299 per month.
