Audi has added two new models to its flagship A8 range. New 3.0 TDI diesel and 3.0 TFSI petrol versions will allow interested buyers behind the wheel of an A8 for less than €100,000. The new models will sit below the two current offerings, the 4.2 FSI petrol and 4.2 TDI diesel.
The 3.0 TDI version is expected to account for 75 percent of new Audi A8 sales in 2011 and now offers the fuel saving start-stop function. This has helped reduce emissions by 22 percent over its predecessor, while power is up by 17hp to 253hp. With emissions of 174g/km, annual road tax is €630. The six-cylinder 3.0 TFSI produces 294hp and 420Nm of torque.
Standard equipment on the 3.0 TDI variant includes navigation system, MMI Touch (Audi's MMI interface that uses driver handwriting recognition), leather upholstery, adaptive air suspension, xenon lights with LED day-time running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels and Bluetooth.
Pricing (excluding delivery and other costs) is €91,900 for both the 3.0 TDI and 3.0 TFSI and they're available to order now.
