We would not ordinarily cover used car sales here on CompleteCar.ie, but rarely do car sales get as exciting as this.
Noted photographer, rally driver and classic car collector, Frank Fennell, is auctioning off some of his collection with some tasty classics up for grabs. Amongst the cars set to go under the hammer is a 1964 Morris Cooper S that has won events both on the Circuit of Ireland and across Europe, a handful of Mercedes-Benz models including a very nice 420 SEC pillar-less coupé and even a Tuk Tuk like the one used by James Bond in Octopussy.
The cars that have attracted the most attention at CompleteCar.ie towers are a pair of DKWs. DKW was one of the German manufacturers that merged before World War 2 to form Auto Union and the 1960 SP Coupé and 1000s four-door would have been amongst the last to bear the name before the Volkswagen Group took over Auto Union and rebranded it Audi. The SP Coupé is of particular significance as it is one of only three right-hand drive examples in Europe.
We are also quite enamoured with the low mileage Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9 that has been owned by Frank's wife for the past 21 years.
