The new Toyota RAV4 will be unveiled at the Los Angeles International Auto Show on 28th November. As a preview to the launch a teaser video showing the new car has been released.
Exterior
Toyota is keeping the shape a secret until the show but you get to glimpse a few details. In particular the camera concentrates on the grille, headlamps and wing mirrors. Rather than being separate elements, as on the current car, the grille and lamps wrap around the front of the car. One design element that seems to have been carried over is the shape of the C-pillar.
Interior
Almost nothing of the interior is shown in the video. A brief glimpse of the instruments is as much as we get.
Mechanicals
No mention is made of the engine and transmission options but it is safe to assume there will be a choice of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines as before, with most buyers opting for 2.0- and 2.2-litre diesel power.
Anything else?
Toyota's describes its new offering as 'a new generation rewriting the rules of style, embodying sophistication and strength - a dynamism that adapts to the changing pace of life.' We assume that means a versatile interior...
