Nissan's plans for Geneva Show

Wealth of new models from Nissan in Geneva.

Details of Nissan's line-up at the Geneva Motor Show have been revealed.  A broad range of vehicles will be on show, from the European market Nissan Note and the European-built LEAF, to the 370Z Nismo and 2013 GT-R.  The Resonance concept will also be on display, indicating the future of Nissan's crossover vehicles.

Redesigned for Europe, the new Note will be on display for the first time in its European-market form.  A variety of safety systems are fitted, including Around View Monitor and blind spot monitoring, under the banner of the Nissan Safety Shield.

The revised Nissan LEAF comes with the promise of 'improved real-world range autonomy' and a variety of detail improvements.  Buyers will get more choice on equipment, colour and price with the new model fully integrated into the European range.

Nissan's tuning arm, Nismo, will make its official European debut too, with its versions of the Juke and 370Z.  The Juke comes with a 200hp, 1.6-litre engine and the promise of affordable performance.  For the 370Z Nismo there are changes to the engine and exhaust for more power and an exciting soundtrack, plus a reworked chassis.

For 2013 the GT-R has received a variety of changes; the suspension settings are revised and engine modifications promise improved flexibility with a 0-100km/h time of 2.7 seconds (0.1 seconds faster than before).

The Resonance concept was unveiled in Detroit earlier this year.  Designed in America and inspired by the concept of VIP space travel it points the way to future crossover vehicles - most likely the next Murano.

Finally, the Juke range gets a new, n-tec variant.  Fitted with an enhanced Nissan Connect system it includes Google's Send-To-Car-Technology and the ability to send routes to the car.  A larger 5.8-inch screen is fitted, helping to provide clearer navigation.
