Volkswagen Group Ireland has been named Best Workplace 2013. The prize was presented earlier this month at the 'Great Place to Work' awards in Dublin.
The CEO of Great Place to Work observed that competition for places on the list was the highest it had been for ten years, with more organisations choosing to go through the assessment process. Volkswagen Group Ireland was the only automotive company in the 2013 awards. Volkswagens Group's Human Resources Director Tom Fleming said: "Our success is built around great brands, great people, and a great dealer network. We recognise that great people thrive in a great work environment, and that is why we are delighted with this recognition that we are among Ireland's best workplaces". Fleming added, "We will celebrate this achievement but we also know that being a great place to work is a never ending journey."
Being recognised as Best Workplace 2013 is the latest achievement for Volkswagen Group Ireland; Volkswagen is the best-selling car brand; Audi is the best-selling premium brand; and Skoda is the second fastest growing brand, behind only SEAT.
