The modified car scene has always had a pretty healthy following in Ireland, so much so that Mondello Park will be hosting the Modified Live Show on April 21st. The event will be a chance for owners of European, Japanese and American cars to display their pride and joy, and to compete for prizes in the Show & Shine contest for some of the best turned out cars.
On track there will be plenty of action with the opening round of the new IDC (Irish Drift Championship) taking place. James Deane and Mike Fitzgerald are just two of the big names that will be competing on April 21st. Throughout the day the track will also see action from the second round of the Irish Time-Attack Series, which will run in an anti-clockwise direction between drift sessions.
In between competitive action, car owners will have the opportunity to take to the track and demonstrate the performance of their own cars in some of the twenty minute long 'Track Day' sessions that will be available during the day.
If you have an interest in displaying your car, or are a member of a club, spaces are now available to book and can be done so via www.mondello.ie/modified/ or by contacting Mondello Park on 045 860200.
Tickets can be purchased in advance from www.ticketfriend.com and all tickets bought in advance will get a complimentary grandstand ticket worth €5.
