Lexus is set to grow its hybrid range further with the introduction of the GS 300h model. This new version will line up alongside the GS 450h and GS 250 and is powered by a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine equipped with D-4S direct injection technology to further improve fuel efficiency. As denoted by the 'h', the GS 300h also features an electric motor and the ability to drive on electric power alone at times.
The new model is claimed to have a CO2 emissions of just 110g/km, which should make the GS 300h one of the most efficient cars in its class. In recent years the hybrid market has seen considerable growth and Lexus has played a significant role in helping parent company Toyota reach a recent landmark of selling more than five million hybrid vehicles.
As yet there is no official word on price or availability of the GS 300h in Ireland.
