To celebrate the launch of the all-new Leon, SEAT has set up a fundraiser for Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin.
To monitor the progress of the charity event each SEAT dealership in the country will be constructing model rockets built from thousands of Lego bricks that have been mailed to households nationwide. With each brick, SEAT has sent out a note asking people to bring their brick to their nearest dealer to add to the rockets' construction. For every brick received, SEAT will donate money to the fund. At the end of the project, SEAT will give €10,000 to the campaign.
"It's great to have support from the SEAT dealers across Ireland," comments Joe Quinsey, CEO of the Children's Medical & Research Foundation at Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin. "Children from all over Ireland come to Crumlin, and we'd urge everyone who can to get involved."
For those who didn't receive a Lego brick through their letterbox and would like to take part, SEAT says that each dealership has a stock of surplus bricks that can be used to help complete each rocket.
SEAT is also encouraging people to visit local dealerships before the end of May for the chance to win a brand new Leon. Simply test driving any new SEAT will enter applicants into the prize draw.
Prices for the new Leon start at €18,995 for the entry-level 1.2-litre TSI Reference model.
