From 16th-24th November 2012 Nissan hosted a Micra Pink Week to raise money for Breast Cancer Ireland. During this time, Nissan donated €50 for every individual test drive of a new Nissan Micra, resulting in a grand total of €82,700 raised for the charity.
"This is a fantastic result," said Aisling Hurley, Development Director, Breast Cancer Ireland. "We are extremely grateful to Nissan and the commitment they put into this initiative to make it a success."
A total of 1,654 test drives took place across Ireland's Nissan dealer network.
"We are delighted that so many members of the public got behind this initiative," commented James McCarthy, Nissan Ireland's Chief Executive Officer. "The work that Breast Cancer Ireland carries out is invaluable; and we are delighted to be associated with such a worthwhile cause."
Hurley goes on to say, "The funds raised will go directly towards funding our pioneering research programmes and will assist us significantly in our Race for a Cure."
