Lexus reveals Ultimate Rugby app tie-in

Lexus sponsorship to coincide with the Lions Tour of Australia.


Lexus Ireland has announced its sponsorship of the Ultimate Rugby app for the Lions Tour 2013. The app, which is accessed by more than 100,000 Irish users, features the most up to date Lions Tour news and analysis as well as unique viewpoints into the tour experience through player insights.

Through the sponsorship, the all-new Lexus IS 300h (which is launching in Ireland in July) branding and advertisements will be featured across the app in team announcements, tour news, as well as kick-off and final score push notifications. Lexus will also be running in-app competitions throughout the tour for 'Man of the Match', 'Predict the Winner' as well as general quizzes, where rugby fans can win great prizes including 'money-can't-buy' signed merchandise by Lions players.

The Ultimate Rugby app was launched in October and has seen a significant rise in activity during the Lions tour. Ultimate Rugby is the only non-affiliated rugby union app that gives fans direct access to players across the globe. The app also brings fans closer to players, who write their own biographies, interact with fans and use Ultimate Rugby as a personal window to the rugby community.
