Volkswagen has announced this week that its Commercial Vehicles sector is to enter into a sponsorship partnership with the Marie Keating Foundation - a group that raises much needed funding for Cancer Awareness in Ireland.
To mark the beginning of the co-operation, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has donated a sign-written Caddy Maxi to the organisation.
"We are delighted to support the Marie Keating foundation as we recognise the vital work they carry out every day around the country," comments Niall Philips, Head of Sales and Marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. "We wish them well in the year ahead and we hope that by providing the Caddy Maxi we can contribute to the work they carry out and provide support to those who need it."
The Caddy Maxi will be added to Marie Keating's fleet of mobile units that are driven across the country by trained, registered nurses to provide information and care to cancer patients. The units also visit schools to educate younger people about the early signs and prevention of the illness.
Anything else?
In addition to the mobile units, Marie Keating also provides 'comfort funding' for those struggling to cope financially as a result of cancer.
