Jaguar F-Type Project 7 set to roll at Le Mans Classic

Dynamic debut for the fastest Jaguar to date.

In case you missed it at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, Jaguar's limited run (250 units only) F-Type Project 7 is about to make an appearance at the upcoming Le Mans Classic this weekend (July 4-6). This time around though, there will be demonstration laps, alongside F-Type R Coupés and the very first D-Type, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

Built and developed by Jaguar's new Special Operations division, the F-Type Project 7 is a road-legal two-seat sports car. While it is essentially a more powerful and extreme version of the F-Type, it takes things even further with its 'most powerful and fastest production Jaguar to date' credentials. It's powered by a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine making 575hp, which is helped along by about 80kg of weight reductions. The 0-100km/h sprint takes 3.6 seconds while the top speed is electronically limited to 300km/h.

Anything else?

Jaguar says the F-Type Project 7 will do the demo runs before the qualifying and race sessions at the Le Mans Classic race meeting. Also, as the three-time Le Mans winning Jaguar celebrates its 60th anniversary, Jaguar will have two D-Types taking part in the Le Mans Classic.
