This is a very, very fast way to support a cycling team - a one-off Jaguar F-Type Coupé built by the car maker's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) to back up Team Sky at the 2014 Tour de France.
Finished in the black and sky blue livery of Team Sky, both inside and out, the SVO F-Type is based on the 550hp, 680Nm R model. It can carry two Pinarello Bolide TT bikes and wears plenty of the cycling team's graphics to ensure you know who it's affiliated to; Jaguar has been an official supplier to Team Sky since its inception in 2010.
Other bespoke specifications include an electric supply in the boot to power the on-board radios, amplifiers, microphones, horns and televisions that allow communications between the team's sports director and the riders.
The unique F-Type (Jag SVO has no plans to put a 'cycling' version into production) will be supporting the Team Sky riders during stage 20 of the TdF on July 26, when the competitors cycle from Bergerac to Périgueux.
Anything else?
Sir Dave Brailsford, team principal at Team Sky, said: "We have already benefited from its high performance credentials and expertise in technological capabilities and engineering innovations, particularly with the recent development of the Pinarello Dogma F8. This F-Type concept is a world-class vehicle that will help get the best out of the team on the TT stages."
