Lexus has announced it will bring a new high-performance 'F' model to the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, but neglected to mention which one. All we know thus far is that, when released, it will join the 477hp RC F coupé in (what is described as) a "growing stable of high performance models."
Even the teaser images released by Lexus reveal little as the new F model features a headlight arrangement unlike any of its existing line-up. Second generation IS F perhaps or even a GS F? The fact that Lexus describes the car as 'track ready' would seem to discount any notions of an NX F, but high performance SUVs are in vogue right now so we wouldn't write it off just yet.
Anything else?
Whatever the new F car (named after the Fuji race circuit where Toyota does much of its development work) we will have to wait until January 13 to see it in the metal.
