Renault introduces Captur Signature

More equipment for special edition Renault Captur.

Renault has introduced a new version of its Captur compact crossover, called the Signature. Priced from €22,190, it comes with 17-inch 'Explore' alloys, chrome exterior detailing and two-tone paint as standard.

Inside, buyers get part-leather upholstery and yet more chrome. Tech upgrades are represented by the R-Link seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system including TomTom satnav and a USB connection for a smartphone.

There are also parking sensors, a rear-view camera and 'Grip Xtend' traction control, which is said to replicate the abilities of proper four-wheel drive. On top of all that there's the expected cruise control, Bluetooth, climate control and LED daytime running lights.

The Captur Signature is available with a choice of petrol or diesel engines. The petrol line-up consists of a 0.9-litre TCe 90 unit, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. In terms of diesel, the 1.5-litre dCi 90 is available with either a manual or an automatic gearbox. On the Energy dCi 90 version, emissions are as low as 98g/km while fuel consumption on the official combined cycle is 3.8 litres/100km.

Anything else?

Renault's own finance arm, Renault Bank, is currently offering the Captur Signature on a PCP deal of €219 a month.
