SEAT appoints new Head of Exterior Design

Stefan Lamm moves from Ford to bolster SEAT's design team.

SEAT has announced that Stefan Lamm will take up the position of Head of Exterior Design at the company from February 1, 2015. The position was vacated by Jorge Díez who moved to sister-company, Audi, as Head of Automotive Concept Design.

Lamm had overseen Exterior Design at Ford Europe since April 2009 and played a key role in shaping the Ford B-Max, Kuga and he also influenced the new Mondeo.  He also styled a number of Ford concept cars including the Vertrak, Evos and S-Max Concept. His experience with these larger and crossover vehicles will be valued at SEAT as it works towards expanding its range with a new crossover, which is expected to be revealed in 2016.

Anything else?

Lamm learnt his craft at the School of Design at the University of Pforzheim. He also holds a degree in Transport Design Sciences from the Vevey Art Centre College of Design in Switzerland and has previously worked in the Design department at Opel AG.
