We had a teaser image of Infiniti's Q60 Concept before Christmas, and now the Japanese marque has given us a full preview of the car ahead of the main event.
So what can we add? Well, the 'premium sports coupé' is a 2+2 with a handcrafted interior (it features quilted leather seats with hand-stitching and lots of carbon fibre) and an exterior design that will preview forthcoming Infiniti models.
The Q60 Concept takes styling themes from both the Q80 Inspiration and Q50 Eau Rouge models, such as the aerodynamic gills behind the front wheel arches and a low roofline. The stance and look of the car is supposed to hint at driving pleasure, while the 21-inch custom wheels were inspired by jet turbine blades.
The Infiniti Q60 Concept will get its in-the-metal debut at North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) on January 13.
Anything else?
"The Q80 Inspiration (shown at Paris in October 2014) was an indication of Infiniti's future design language," said Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti's executive design director. "The Q60 Concept is the next step in the journey. The sweeping lines of the Q80 Inspiration gave the Q60 Concept its coupe silhouette and looks while the Formula One-inspired touches from the Q50 Eau Rouge endowed the coupe with its sports personality."
