Kia is set to bring a four-wheel drive version of the Soul crossover to the Chicago Auto Show next week and preview its possible hybrid direction. The concept, called the Trail'ster, is an off-road version of the Soul "for the city-dweller-turned-outdoor-adventurer" that pairs a turbocharged petrol engine, which powers the front wheels, with an electric motor to power the rear wheels.
The Chicago concept will feature a fully retractable canvas roof, but that's likely to be kyboshed should the Trail'ster make it to production.
