Rolls-Royce has been inspired by the world of Haute Couture to create the exclusive 'Wraith - Inspired by Fashion'. Created by the company's Bespoke Design Studio it uses colours materials and techniques from the world of high fashion.
Exterior
On the outside, the Wraith's appearance is relatively subtle with a two-tone white paint scheme providing a neutral background for a choice of 'accent colours' for the hand-painted feature line. Colours available are Jasmine, Tailored Purple or Mugello Red.
Interior
Inside, the main colour scheme is white and black with the accent colour repeated in various details. Points of interest include the two-tone steering wheel that uses something called a 'seamless stitch' - a complex technique borrowed from the world of fine tailoring - to create a neat finish. Silk is used for the door pockets, picking up the accent colour and adorned with an abstract representation of the Spirit of Ecstasy. The emblem is set at exactly 55 degrees to match the design of the door. Framing the door trim is a silk welting strip, using another tailoring technique, to provide a coloured line between the black and white hide.
Continuing the silk effect, the Bespoke Team designed the interior clock to 'emit a pearl effect, reminiscent of silk fabrics'. The timepiece is set into the wood dashboard, which has a lacquered finish that takes nine days to complete.
