If your car is struggling with the poor driving conditions this week then there is a reasonably priced solution offered by FastFit.ie. The Weiss Snow Sock slips over the driving wheels to provide the grip needed on ice and snow. They are reusable and easy to fit and remove.
They use a technical fabric that sticks to the snow and it also "wicks away" water that is found between the ground and the tyre. These cost €75 per set of two, which are placed on the driving wheels and can be bought at FastFit outlets.
