Renault Ireland has released pricing and specifications for its new Kadjar crossover.

Renault Ireland has today (June 18) released pricing for its new Kadjar crossover, set to compete with the Nissan Qashqai - a car it shares its underpinnings and engines with. The Kadjar starts at €24,990 for a sole petrol-powered model, costs from €26,790 with a diesel engine and is available through Renault Finance from €249 per month.

The entry-level trim line is called Expression+ and it's available with either a 130hp 1.2-litre petrol engine called TCe or with a 1.5-litre dCi diesel producing 110hp - offered with either a manual or EDC dual-clutch automatic. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, electric windows all-round, LED daytime running lamps, Bluetooth, USB and aux-in ports, remote stereo controls, DAB digital radio and front fog lights.

Next up is Dynamique Nav, starting at €28,290 for the 1.5-litre diesel model with a manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. It adds 17-inch alloy wheels, hands-free entry and ignition, dual-zone climate control, auto lights and wipers, a leather trimmed steering wheel, upgraded audio and the new R-Line 2 touchscreen infotainment with satnav. This model and all above it also feature Visio as standard, a suite of safety systems including lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition. From here up, all Kadjars come with the same engine options, including a 130hp 1.6-litre dCi diesel, in both front- and four-wheel drive formats. The latter in Dynamique Nav spec is priced at €31,490.

The Kadjar Dynamique Nav S additionally features 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, part-leather upholstery and other interior enhancements such as a one-touch easy-fold rear seat and a multi-position boot floor. This comes at a €1,000 premium.

Topping the range is the Kadjar Signature Nav, costing €1,500 more than the equivalent Dynamique Nav S. It features full LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, a Bose sound system, unique upholstery and plenty of interior and exterior style enhancements.

Anything else?

Renault dealers in Ireland will take orders for the Kadjar from July and the first vehicles should arrive in September. It's built in Spain alongside the Nissan Qashqai and comes with a five-year warranty.
