Back in 2011, a year after the unusual-looking Nissan Juke burst onto the scene, the Japanese car firm went a trifle nuts and asked Ray Mallock Limited (RML), a British race car-building firm, to create the ultimate version of the B-segment hit.
A lot of engineering went into the task but the recipe was essentially this: take a Juke bodyshell, and then stretch it over the running gear of an R35 GT-R.
The resulting brute was the Juke-R, which was superb, but now it's time for an upgrade, so say hello to the Juke-R 2.0. Gareth Dunsmore, the marketing communications general manager for Nissan Europe, said: "The Juke-R has become an iconic crossover supercar and with the launch of the latest Juke model last year, it was the natural choice to upgrade the original Juke-R with added power and even bolder styling. The Juke-R 2.0 is a perfect 'crossover' of the best bits of Nissan - real innovation showcasing our crossover prowess fused with the excitement of the GT-R supercar engine."

Except for those occasions when Jann Mardenborough, Nissan GT Academy graduate, Le Mans 24 Hours driver and all-round nice guy, will be flinging it up the Hill Climb flat chat. Having been for an exhilarating thrash in the passenger seat of the original Juke-R with Jann at the wheel, we know he is very, very, very capable...
