The designer sketch above is the new Kia Picanto, due to make its world debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show.
As ever with these things, it requires a little mental undressing to see the production version - but it doesn't look half bad, does it?
Note the sloping swage line and the scoop underneath it at either side; the new Picanto should be one rakish little car. The grille is familiar, though we don't expect the showroom model to be as low at the front.
Designed by Peter Schreyer - he of Audi TT and Kia Venga fame - the Korean company says the new Picanto 'brings confidence, solidity and maturity to the A-Segment.' If you can tell us what that means, let us know.
It goes on sale in the middle of 2011. Prices are, of course, to be confirmed.
