Looming on the horizon is the Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA - those initials standing for the German for international motor show) and if you've never been before, the German carmakers pull out all the stops to create huge showpieces for their home turf. This year, BMW's colossal display promises to be its biggest yet, measuring 50 metres wide and covering a daunting 12,000 square metres in total.
All of the group's sub-brands - so BMW, i, M Power, eDrive, Motorrad, MINI and Rolls-Royce - will get their own display areas on this behemoth, while there's a 400-metre driving circuit incorporated so that people can try the vehicles, instead of just looking at static displays.

Among the new metal on show will be the latest 7-Series - including a 740Le plug-in hybrid model - eDrive versions of the 2 Series, 3 Series and X5, the all-new X1, the MINI Clubman, the Rolls-Royce Dawn drophead and the new BMW M3 'Sedan', which should be the facelifted version of the M3...
Anything else?
Steven Althaus, head of Brand Management BMW and Marketing Services BMW Group, said: "Authentic, distinctive brands, outstanding new vehicles and exciting innovations will be showcased in a groundbreaking new way to create a unique visitor experience at IAA 2015."
Frankfurt IAA runs from September 15-27 this year.
