Rolls-Royce has created the Wraith 'Inspired by Music' to celebrate the company's links to contemporary music.
As well as the company's Bespoke Audio system it gets unique paint and trim. This is the third in a trilogy of Bespoke Collections; the first, Wraith 'Inspired by Film' marked Rolls-Royce's association with the silver screen whilst, Wraith 'Inspired by Fashion' was inspired by the materials and motifs of high fashion.
Exterior
Reflecting the use of copper in high-end audio equipment the body is finished in 'Lyrical Copper' paint with a combination of brushed and polished textures.
Interior
Inside there is more copper including the new speaker grilles engraved with the words 'Bespoke Audio'. Continuing the copper theme there are special door inserts and book-matched copper-finished panels on the fascia. There are finely woven leather door panniers and floor mats, said to be designed for extra tactility. Rolls-Royce has also created a special clock with copper and silver elements plus the bezel features radial lines that echo the appearance and feel of vinyl records.
The Bespoke Audio system took two years to develop, with the audio engineers and interior designers working to produce a system that was 'perfectly tuned' to the car. What they created was a 1,800-Watt, 18-channel installation with two powerful bass speakers, seven tweeters and seven mid-range speakers. There are also two 'exciter' speakers in the headlining to help bring the sound to the listener at ear level. Rolls-Royce claims the audio package 'perfectly imitates the way music is experienced in a live setting'.
Anything else?
Torsten Müller Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars commented: "Wraith 'Inspired by Music' appeals to those looking to Rolls-Royce for unique and creative motor cars. Its effortlessly cool appearance complements the superior Bespoke Audio system; the contemporary use of copper creates an atmospheric setting for the most encompassing music system on the market".
