Peugeot Ireland has unveiled a new addition to its light commercial range, the new 3008 Commercial.
The new commercial is based on the current 3008 Active, but qualifies for all the same financial benefits as the rest of the commercial vehicle range. Powering the 3008 Commercial is the same 115hp 1.6-litre HDi diesel engine found in the passenger vehicle, which is capable of returning 4.8 litres/100km on the combined cycle.
Prices for the 3008 Commercial start at €25,095 plus delivery related charges or €20,964 ex-VAT. For the model equipped with the Grip Control system, prices will start at €25,345 plus delivery related charges or at €21,173 ex-VAT. It also qualifies for 5.9 per cent APR finance and comes with a three-year warranty.
From the front seats forward all of the cabin design and layout is retained from the passenger version based on the Active specification. This includes automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, front fog lamps, cruise control with speed limiter, LED daytime running lights, front electric windows, Bluetooth, air conditioning, leather steering wheel and gear selector. The exterior also features 17-inch alloy wheels and an aluminium finish Adventure Pack. A bulkhead separates the rear cargo area, which is capable of carrying up to 1,604 litres and features a convenient split tailgate.
Commenting on the launch of the 3008 Commercial, Colin Sheridan, Sales and Marketing Director at Peugeot Ireland, said: "The new Peugeot 3008 Commercial is an ideal choice for professionals seeking a stylish vehicle that offers flexibility and ample load capacity to meet growing business demands. The welcome arrival of the new van coincides with a very strong performance from our van range in 2015, when we've seen a 51% jump in registrations across our Partner, Expert and Boxer vans. The new 3008 Commercial will undoubtedly further strengthen our range in 2015 and beyond."
Anything else?
For business people that stray a little further off the industrial estate route there is the option of Peugeot's Grip Control. This €250 option provides four different drive settings: standard road, snow, sand or off. The system works by varying the level of traction to each front wheel without the costs and fuel economy penalties of a four-wheel drive system. With this option the standard 17-inch wheels are replaced with 16-inch wheels that are shod in mud and snow tyres.
