Nissan's on the horns of a dilemma right now - it's become a company best known for its crossovers and 4x4s, yet it has the heritage of the classic Z-Cars (240Z, 280Z, 300ZX, 350Z, 370Z...) so how does it square that circle?
We'll get a fuller answer at next week's Frankfurt Motor Show, but here's a hint - it's going to be a low-slung, high-performance crossover based on this concept, called the Gripz. See what they did there? Nissan says that inspiration for the car comes roughly equally from the classic 240Z rally cars (which also rode on tall suspension) and modern day mountain and racing bicycles.
That popping sound you can hear in the distance is Z-car enthusiasts' brains exploding with rage...
