Ford Kuga gets equipment boost

Ford Kuga gets equipment boost
Extra toys and a tempting price point for the Kuga Titanium +.

The compact SUV market is getting more and more crowded these days, and it's getting harder to stand out, so Ford has decided to try an age-old car maker wheeze to attract more punters to the Kuga - stuff it with lots of toys at a keen price.

So, for the €28,595 you'll pay for the new Kuga Titanium +, you'll get as standard keyless entry; 8-inch touchscreen; handsfree tailgate; powerfold mirrors; reverse parking sensors; roof rails; partial leather trim; cruise control with speed limiter; and day time running lights and the Ford SYNC infotainment system. Quite apart from connecting your smartphone seamlessly to the car, it'll also call the emergency services if you have an accident and can't make the call yourself. Not a pleasant thought, but the system is certainly reassuring.

"The new Kuga Titanium+ is a key model that should be top of the shopping list for any prospective car-buyer during the 161 registration sales period", said Ciarán McMahon, Chairman and Managing Director of Ford Ireland. "Euro for euro, I think it is the best specced SUV on the market today and with a starting price of just €28,595, it represents great value for money."
