This might just be the ultimate mid-size SUV. We already love the Porsche Macan, but now it's even more loveable because it's getting MORE POWER!
OK, so appending the famed GTS badge to a two-tonne 4x4 might be a bit of a shock for hard-core Porsche enthusiasts, but for the rest of us it means a Macan with 360hp (up by 20hp) and 500Nm of torque. Creamy, and that's before you get to the tuneful sports exhaust system.
The 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine drives all four wheels through the familiar seven-speed PDK (Porsche Doppelkuplungsgetriebung) paddle-shift gearbox and can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 5.2 seconds. Top speed is 256km/h.
The springs (equipped with Porsche's PASM active suspension) have been lowered by 15mm, and all GTS Macans will get the gorgeous RS Spyder-style 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside you get sports seats with Alcantara centre panels, and a big new Porsche Communications Management touch-screen that features Apple CarPlay.
Outside, you'll spot a Macan thanks to a mixture of gloss-and-matte-black trim accents (gloss above the window line, matte below) and there's the option of Porsche Dynamic Lighting System LED headlights.
The German market price is €73,400 so bet on one costing just over the €100k mark here.
