What's the news?
Hyundai has given us a slightly clearer look at the renderings for its Ioniq multi-hybrid model due out next year.
Following on from the initial teaser pic last week, this drawing shows off the car's coupé-like shape, part of Hyundai's drive to make the car as aerodynamically efficient as possible - the whole design is said to minimise wind resistance.
Some of the company's signature marks are there, such as the hexagonal grille and headlamps with integrated C-shaped lights. And the colour of the car is, er... 'formulated to be evocative of fog about to lift'. Which is nice.
There's even a glimpse of the cabin, which displays an 'elegant, clutter-free' appearance. No further details on specifications as yet, though, so expect more details to emerge over the coming months.
Anything else?
Due to be launched in full electric vehicle (EV), mild hybrid petrol-electric vehicle (HEV) and full-on plug-in hybrid petrol-electric vehicle (PHEV) versions in 2016, the Hyundai Ioniq will make a global debut in Korea in January, followed by a dual unveiling at the Geneva and New York motor shows in March 2016.
