Bentley interiors go back to the Stone Age
Bentley’s Mulliner coach-building division comes up with stone veneer dashboards.

What's the news?

Here's something different to the aluminium, carbon fibre and Alcantara dashboard finishes - Bentley's luxury coach-building division, Mulliner, has come up with stone dashboards.

Made of slate and quartzite mined in India, the stone veneer is just 0.1mm thick, meaning they're not going to weigh down the already portly Bentleys further, while the finish is also translucent, allowing for the graining and patterns of the stone to be visible to the car's occupants

Stone veneers in a natural finish are available on Continental and Flying Spur models, in four different colours: Galaxy, Autumn White, Terra Red and Copper. Although bespoke finishes are also available, for the right fee...

Anything else?

Geoff Dowding, director of Mulliner Operations, said: "Bentley is the established expert in the handcrafting of wood and leather, and now we are exploring new, fine and rare materials to offer even more bespoke tailoring and choice to our customers. Stone veneers are another first for Bentley - but only the beginning of what we plan to do with this luxurious and unique material."
