Production details for the Aston Martin Cygnet have been confirmed with the announcement of two 'Launch Edition' models. Dealers in the UK are already accepting orders for the city car - although the first examples won't be built until April.
Initially (but only for an unspecified limited period) customers can choose either Cygnet Launch Edition White or Cygnet Launch Edition Black. The White model is finished, predictably enough, in Snow White paint with silver mesh, chrome bright-work and 'White Diamond turned alloy wheels'. Inside there is Pearl white leather with Alcantara inserts and satin chrome. The Black version is painted 'Magic Black', which has a deep green appearance, offset by matt black louvers and chrome bright-work. For the interior there is black leather with diamond perforations and dark chrome accents.
Both Launch Editions come with a Bill Amberg five-piece luggage set. Designed specifically for the Cygnet, it comes in black leather and 'technical fabric'; the set includes a garment bag, holdall and bags to fit the glove box and door pocket.
Although initially available through Aston's European dealer network, the company plans to increase market availability by 2012.
The Aston Martin Cygnet costs from £30,995 in the UK, which translates to a sub-€45,000 price landed in Ireland - assuming it retains the Toyota iQ's Band A emissions.
