Plenty of GT-R action, including high-speed runs and virtual passenger rides.

What's the news?

There is plenty to see and do with Nissan at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. The 2017 Nissan GT-R will run up the hill, as will the record-breaking GT-R Nismo. Visitors can also take a passenger ride in the GT-R thanks to a 4D virtual reality simulator. The festival runs until 26th June.

Returning to the 1.16-mile hill course is NISMO driver Jann Mardenborough, who set the all-time production car record of 49.27 seconds in a Nissan GT-R NISMO Time Attack car back in 2014. This year Mardenborough will be behind the wheel of the new 2017 GT-R; which now has 570PS, plus updated looks inside and out.

Festival guests can take a ride with Jann thanks to the 'world's first' 4D VR driving simulator. Up to 15 people at a time can enjoy the GT-R experience thanks to Samsung Gear VR headsets and state-of-the-art dynamic chairs.

Back on the hill the World Record-holding GT-R NISMO will burn rubber on the hill. This car took the record for the world's fastest drift in April this year; running at a 30-degree angle whilst travelling at 304.96 km/h or 189.5mph.

Nissan is also displaying the 'GT-R drone', billed as one of the fastest accelerating First Person View racing drones in the world. The drone was built to race the new GT-R around Silverstone circuit and can hit 62mph from standstill in 1.3 seconds. Visitors to the stand can watch a film of the drone-vs-car battle.
