What's the news?
The Kia Niro hybrid SUV - which we drove recently and which shares a drivetrain with the impressive new Hyundai Ioniq - has been priced up for Ireland. It'll cost from €30,495, although that excludes the €1,500 VRT relief that all hybrids qualify for.
That's pretty impressive pricing actually, the Niro's €28,995 figure comparing well to an entry-level Sportage, which is a grand less at €27,995.
Kia Ireland has confirmed that the Niro will come as standard with satnav, Android Auto compatibility (Apple CarPlay to follow), full leather heated seats, dual-zone air-conditioning, Lane Keep Assist, LED front and rear lights, privacy glass and rain-sensing wipers.
Anything else?
Due on sale in the latter half of October 2016, the Niro is capable of 3.8 litres/100km (74.3mpg) while emitting just 88g/km of CO2.
