Interior photos revealed of Skoda’s first SUV.

What's the news?

Skoda is gearing up for the launch of its new Kodiaq SUV, which will take place on 1st September. Pictures of the interior, designed to be functional and elegant, have been released ahead of the car's debut in Berlin.

According to Skoda the interior of the Kodiaq is 'powerful and robust, yet welcomes passengers with a friendly character'. The centre of the dashboard features a symmetrical layout with vertical air vents either side of a large display screen. All the switches and functions are designed for easy accessibility and intuitive operation.

With a length and width of 4.70 metres by 1.88 metres the designers have worked to provide as much interior room as possible. Boot space measures 720-litres for the five-seat version, which extends to 2,065-litres with the rear seats folded. A third row of seats is available as an option, making this Skoda's first seven-seater. Other options include a heated steering wheel, door edge protection and electric child safety locks. Skoda claims there are more than 30 'Simply Clever' solutions available for its latest car.

Anything else?

The Kodiaq launch will be streamed live online with a 45 minute presentation at 19:00 (Central European Summer Time) on 1st September.
