'Range_e' is the name of the development vehicle Land Rover will present at the Geneva Motor Show. It's an plug-in diesel-electric hybrid prototype, capable of 89g/km CO2 emissions - well inside Band A.
The 'Range_e' is based on a Range Rover Sport equipped with a 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel and an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The parallel hybrid system enables driving in electric mode only, up to a range of 32 kilometres. The total range is 1,110 kilometres and the top speed is approximately 190km/h. It retains its four-wheel drive configuration.
Three other models will be prominently displayed:
The Range Rover Evoque will be on show in coupé and five-door variants, with customer personalisation option. The latter includes three basic themes for the Evoque: the contemporary 'Pure', the luxurious 'Prestige' and the sporting 'Dynamic'. Further accessories will be available of course.
The Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition will be a limited number, luxury vehicle, featuring high-end interior trim and minor exterior differentiation.
The 2011 Discovery 'Landmark' Limited Editions with Black and White themes will be new variants in the Discovery 4 line-up.
