What's the news?
Alfa Romeo has announced savings across the whole Giuiletta range, with a discount of at least €1,000 now available on the usual recommended retail price.
The entry level 1.4-litre petrol Giulietta now starts at €21,950, while the 1.6-litre diesel comes in at €24,400. Both engines have an output of 120hp. Standard equipment across this and the entire model range includes air conditioning and DAB radio.
The mid-ranking Giulietta Super adds automatic lights and wipers, rear parking sensors, cruise control and a different wheel design, among other upgrades, and can be had from €25,150. The 1.4-litre petrol engine can be specified in either 150hp or 170hp formats, while a 2.0-litre turbodiesel with 150hp or 175hp is also available. A dual-clutch TCT automatic transmission is an option depending on which powerplant is selected.
Topping out the range is the Giulietta Super Sport, and for a limited time only Alfa is offering this trim level for €171 more than the equivalent Super model. The Super Sport gets lots of sports-oriented styling upgrades such as bigger alloys, tinted rear windows, faux carbon fibre inside and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. Alcantara features on the seats, there are some subtly reprofiled bumpers and sports suspension that aims to deliver a more spirited driving experience. The Super Sport trim is available from €25,321 up to €28,271 depending on engine and transmission type selected.
Alfa Romeo's Giuiletta hatch may have been around for quite a while now, but its styling still looks fresh. The Giulietta was always an interesting left-field proposition and this pricing puts it squarely in contention with its rivals in the extremely popular C-segment.
