Renault will debut the facelifted Captur crossover at the Geneva Motor Show.

What's the news?

Renault has released a few images of the exterior of its updated Captur crossover. Nothing drastic has changed, though the lights are new and there's more personalisation available than before, including new colours, wheels and a panoramic glass roof on the options list.

Desert Orange and Ocean Blue are the new body colours, while Mercury Silver can be applied to the roof for the first time. In all, there are now 36 different colour combinations for the Captur's exterior. That's before we mention the five exterior packs for the wheel hub caps and side sill protectors; they're offered in Ivory, Ocean Blue, Cappuccino, Red, and Orange.

The interior of the Captur can also be customised with Ivory, Blue, Caramel, Red, Satin Chrome and Patina Chrome colour packs, while Renault alludes to an increase in cabin quality that we'll have to wait until next week to see.

From the few pictures that have been released, it's clear that the front lights are more technical looking. There are full LED 'Pure Vision' headlights further up the range, with C-shaped LED daytime running lights front and rear. Along with that, the grille and bumpers have been restyled.

Anything else?

The 'new' Renault Captur makes its world debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show at 11:15am Irish time on March 7.
