What's the news?
If you're in the market for a Bentley Bentayga and also happen to be a falconry enthusiast, grab a seat. All your dreams have just come true in the shape of the Bentayga Falconry by Mulliner. As the name suggests, this special version is the latest creation to emerge from Bentley's bespoke division, and features the 'ultimate in-car falconry kit'.
What does a falconry kit contain, pray tell? Basically, a perch for the falcon (sold separately), as well as lots of storage space for the various bits and bobs required for a successful falconry outing. A GPS bird tracking unit, binoculars and hand-crafted leather bird hoods and gauntlets are optional, while a refreshment case contains flasks, cups, a blanket and some face cloths.
Bentley being Bentley, everything is made from the highest quality materials. Natural cork fabric is used on the kit for its durable nature, with Piano Black veneer finishing. Inside the cabin, a desert scene adorns the dashboard depicting a saker falcon. This piece is fashioned from 430 individual pieces of wood over a period of nine days, with a huge amount of preparation work beforehand to ensure perfect fit and finish.
Geoff Dowding, director of Mulliner, said: "The Bentayga Falconry showcases what's possible with our skilled craftspeople. They can devise elegant and exquisitely executed bespoke solutions to compliment any lifestyle or hobby. Falconry is regarded as the sport of kings in the Middle East, so it was vital that the kit we created was as luxurious as it was practical and durable to appeal to our valued customers there and around the world."
