What's the news?
Volvo is showing off its new XC60, not in some out-of-town glass palace, but in one of the areas of highest shopping footfall in the country - the vast Dundrum Town Centre shopping centre in south Dublin.
For a month, up to July 2nd, shoppers will be able to visit Volvo's Swedish-inspired 'pop-up' shop, and see a new XC60 T8 plugin hybrid, finished in Crystal White, with an R-Design bodykit. It will sit alongside an S90 saloon and a V40 hatchback.
David Thomas, Managing Director, Volvo Car Ireland, said: " We're delighted to be able to open Volvo Car Ireland's first ever pop up shop in Dundrum Town Centre. We hope to give shoppers a truly unique and premium experience and reach a new demographic of shoppers who may not have been overly familiar with the Volvo brand and what it stands for before. Customers can explore our stylish new XC60, S90 and V40 models in a relaxed, Scandinavian inspired environment, which reflects the design of our products and gives visitors a sense of the Volvo car brand."
Don Nugent, General Manager, Dundrum Town Centre, commented: "Our continued mission is to excite and delight our customers daily. We are always striving to entertain and offer new experiences such as the hugely successful POCO pop-up and Diarmuid Gavin's Garden of Pure Imagination. This summer promises to be an exciting one for the Dundrum shopper and we are delighted to work with Volvo to showcase the new XC60."
