Extra peace of mind for those buying a Fiat van or pickup.

What's the news?

Fiat Professional, the Italian manufacturer's commercial vehicle division, is extending its standard three-year warranty out to five years, for all purchases made before the 31st of July this year, and that comes with a 200,000km mileage limit.

The offer includes the full range of Fiorino, Doblo, and Talento vans, as well as the just-launched Fullback pickup truck.

The Fullback, which shares a chassis and much of its body with the Mitsubishi L200, comes as standard with remote central locking, electric windows and mirrors, Bluetooth connectivity, DAB digital radio, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob, steering-wheel mounted remote audio controls, air conditioning, Start/Stop technology, front fog lamps, a tubular side step and comprehensive safety equipment, including seven airbags, advanced ESC with ASR, TSA (Trailer Stability Assist), LED DRLs, hill start assist and cruise control with a speed limiter, Lane Departure Warning and a reversing camera.

The SX version uses a 2.4-litre, four-cylinder turbo diesel engine with 150hp and has Co2 emissions of 169g/km. There's also an LX with a 180hp version of the same engine, with 173g/km of Co2. There's an electronically controlled switchable four wheel drive system, with both high and low ratios, plus a locking centre differential for seriously hard terrain, a 1.52-metre long load bed and a maximum unbaked towing weight of 3,100kg (depending on the model).

The LX model comes with keyless go, leather upholstery, electrically-adjusted and heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, bi-xenon headlamps with washers, enhanced body styling, privacy glass and a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with DAB, Bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation as standard, plus Lane Departure Warning, a reversing camera and a comfort-oriented "Touring" suspension.

Paul Hunt, Managing Director, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Ireland DAC, said: "Robust and reliable, the Fullback is a great addition to the Fiat Professional line-up and like the playing position in rugby and American football, is versatile, tough and always reliable."

Prices for the Fullback SX start from €25,625 (excluding VAT), while the LX clocks in at €29,710 (ex VAT), and the LX automatic is €32,800 (ex VAT).
