What is it?
'A premium sport compact with uncompromising performance' according to Suzuki. Or, a lower, wider Swift with 18-inch wheels and bright yellow paint. As well as the pumped-up body it gets an interior kitted out with Recaro seats and carbon fibre trim. The design, inside and out, was apparently inspired by running shoes.
Why's it here?
It points the way to a possible performance model at the top of the range, like the old Swift Sport. No word on power or performance from the company, but it may use an updated version of the 1.6-litre petrol engine from the old model.
Show stopper or floor filler?
It might not be as eye-catching as some of the more exotic cars at the Geneva show, but it is easy to imagine the S-Concept, or something like it, in showrooms. We liked the old Swift Sport and hopefully this means a new one is in the pipeline.
