The BMW X2, X3 and X4 models enjoy styling parts, wheel options and door lighting.

What's the news?

BMW's X2, X3 and X4 ranges of SUVs are to benefit from a host of optional M Performance Parts for styling, interiors and lighting, all designed to pep up the individuality of each machine.

Starting with the exterior mods, Frozen Black stickers with 'M Performance' on them can be strung along the sides of the three SUVs, while the X3 and X4 can also have the front lettering in High-Gloss Black. More items, like the front bumper surrounds, can be finished in High-Gloss Black, while the same shade is used on a set of M Performance front kidney grilles for the X2. Door mirror caps in carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) are available on all three lines.

Inside, the X2, X3 and X4 can benefit from M Performance floor mats in velour velvet, with a leather-look surround and contrasting decorative seams. These wear the M Performance branding, too. Meanwhile, the M Performance steering wheel is a tactile delight, as it has grip areas lined in Alcantara. The upper and lower sections of the wheel are in high-quality leather, it's finished with silver-grey, hand-sewn stitching and a red 12 o'clock marker is inspired by motorsport.

Trim panels on the steering wheel come in the leather as standard, although carbon fibre/leather options are available on the X3 and X4. Shift paddles on the wheel add more sportiness to the SUVs' cabins, the X3 and X4 (which have shift paddles on auto versions as standard) again gaining high-gloss carbon fibre items as part of the M Performance upgrade.

Moving back outside, wheel sets are available for all three models. The X2 can be fitted with the Styling 717M 20-inch set in matte black finish, this being a light alloy wheel. On the X3 and X4, the 19-inch M Performance light alloy double-spoke wheel (Style 698M) is available, while those wanting the biggest rims possible might wish to look at the Style 701M 21-inch forged Y-spoke bicolour alloys, again on the X3 and X4 alone.

Anything else?

Finally, LED door projectors can be fitted to all three SUVs. These replace the standard entry lights and project a selectable graphic onto the ground when the door is opened, these varied images including a BMW M logo and various motifs from an M Performance slide set.
