What's the news?
The Cheltenham Festival of horse racing is a big event in the Irish calendar and Bentley has celebrated its continuing partnership with The Jockey Club at the UK event by creating a one-off commission of the Bentayga SUV - it's called the Bentayga by Mulliner, Inspired by The Festival.
Due to be shown at this year's festival from March 13-16, the special Bentayga is finished in a shade called Spruce, which is a modern take on British Racing Green. It is contrasted by Blackline Specification and 21-inch, diamond-turned, black-painted wheels; this, Bentley says, makes the SUV appear equally at home in town or country.
Inside, bespoke tweed complements a Cumbrian Green and Saddle leather colourline, the split of these shades being unique and accentuating the car's performance potential. Light blue contrast stitching is used on the door cards and the seat quilting, while Burr Walnut veneer features a straight-grained 'picture frame' cross-banding technique, designed to look like some of the antique furniture you'd find in The Jockey Club's private rooms.
Finally, the passenger veneer is finished with a gold horse graphic, while each seat bears an embroidered horse and jockey emblem in a Saddle and Cognac thread.

Uday Senapati, Mulliner's head of technical operations, said: "The Cheltenham Festival is widely recognised as one of the finest horse-racing events in the world, and the festival's unique sense of occasion is a perfect showcase for the world's most exclusive SUV, the Bentayga. The Mulliner team has been deeply inspired by the equestrian lifestyle, and this has encouraged us to use new materials and techniques for the first time on a Bentley in developing this one-off commission."
