New V6 diesel for Audi A7

A new lower emissions V6 turbodiesel has been introduced for the Audi A7.

Audi has introduced a new 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel for its A7 Sportback. The new engine produces just 139g/km of carbon dioxide to sit in tax Band B and so qualifies for the Government's scrappage scheme.

With 204hp on tap, the 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel covers 0-100km/h in 7.4 seconds and has a top speed of 233km/h. Driving through a Multitronic continuously variable transmission with eight pre-programmed gear steps, this latest A7 model offers 5.3 litres/100km average consumption (53.3mpg).

To achieve this economy, the A7 3.0 TDI model comes with energy recuperation to help charge the battery when the car is coasting or coming to a stop. It also has Audi's stop-start system to switch off the engine when the car is at a standstill to save fuel and lower emissions.

All A7 3.0 TDI models come with 18-inch alloy wheels, Xenon headlights, leather upholstery, parking assist, satellite navigation and Bluetooth connection. The car is available to order now, priced €61,860 on the road, and first deliveries will start in May.
