Volkswagen is taking its people's car to all the people of the world when it reveals its new Beetle on 18 April. The VW Beetle will be unveiled simultaneously in Shanghai, Berlin and New York.
Turning the launch into a whole Beetle party, Volkswagen is teaming up with television music channel MTV for the event. The Black Eyed Peas will perform in New York, with the show beamed around the world.
The new Beetle develops the style of the outgoing car to look smoother and sleeker. Volkswagen is keen to promote the Beetle to be a more serious contender for the MINI and Fiat 500.
