No Suzuki Jimny for Ireland!

No Suzuki Jimny for Ireland! No Suzuki Jimny for Ireland! No Suzuki Jimny for Ireland! No Suzuki Jimny for Ireland!
New Suzuki Jimny 4x4 won't be coming to Ireland...

What's the news?

There's sad news if you're one of the many fans looking forward to the arrival of the new Suzuki Jimny, as it has been confirmed that the model will not officially be for sale in Ireland. It was confirmed today by Suzuki that the company currently has no plans to offer the Jimny for sale in the Irish market. No specific reasons were cited but CompleteCar.ie believes that its high emissions of 154g/km from its 1.5-litre petrol engine are among the factors. The car also recently drew some criticism for its performance in the Euro NCAP crash tests, where it scored just three stars.

Anything else?

Suzuki does still plan to introduce its new 2019 model year Vitara to the Irish market, however, which features new engines and improved safety equipment. In the meantime you can drown your sorrows and dream about what it might be like to own a new Jimny by reading our review here.
